Bangkok Day 2: Safari Adventures, Hair Spa Indulgence & Night Market Strolls

If you’ve read my previous blog, Bangkok Day 1: High-End Cafés, Local Rides & Festive Feels, you already know that Day 1 was packed with excitement. Now, let’s dive into Day 2, which started with equal enthusiasm but with a little twist of heat, delays, and wild encounters!

Our morning began with a mad rush for breakfast, as our scheduled pick-up was at 9 AM. But, in true vacation mode, we reached the breakfast hall at 9:10 AM—so, naturally, we pushed our pick-up time to 10 AM. But when you’re traveling in a group of 13 people, someone is always late. 😆 Eventually, we made it to the bus at 11 AM, ready for a day at Marine Park & Safari World Adventure.

The journey took 45 minutes, and despite already being late, we managed a quick detour inside the park. But let me tell you—the 30-degree heat and the crowd made it less fun and more of a fast-track walkthrough. We clicked pictures of birds, fountains, and whatever caught our eye while spotting ostriches, camels, elephants, birds, gorillas, and more along the way.

Soon, it was lunchtime, and since our meal was pre-booked with fixed slots, we headed straight to the dining area. The place was huge, but unfortunately, the food was just meh—nothing exciting to rave about.

Next up was the Baby Shark Safari Adventure, scheduled for 1:30 PM. The place was packed, so I sat on the stairs recording everything I could. The show was fun but stretched a bit too long. We watched dolphins gracefully jumping in the water, performing tricks, and splashing around. While it was entertaining, the blazing heat was just getting on my nerves! 😩

After 2.5 hours of fun, exhaustion set in, and we all agreed it was time to leave!

After an exhausting yet fun day at Safari World, we finally made our way back to Amari Hotel for some much-needed rest. A quick power nap was in order, but as soon as I felt refreshed, I, along with two others, decided to indulge in something I had been dying to try—a Korean-style hair spa! You know, the ones that have been all over Instagram lately? 💆‍♀️✨

The hotel concierge suggested two places, and we chose the relatively closer one.

But thanks to Bangkok’s infamous traffic, what was supposed to be a 20-minute ride turned into 40 minutes. 🙃 Even though we arrived late (again!), we decided on a 60-minute package that cost us 1200 THB (~₹3000).

The package included:

✔️ Head Massage

✔️ Shampoo

✔️ Vangvela Dance Tools (yes, intriguing!)

✔️ Facial Massage & Mask

✔️ Waterfall Therapy

✔️ Hair Drying

And let me tell you—it was pure bliss. My hair felt so soft and silky afterward, and the whole experience was just super relaxing. 🫶

By the time we wrapped up, it was already 8 PM, so we headed back to the hotel before setting off for dinner at Pratunam—the famous street packed with Indian restaurants. 🍛 After a satisfying meal, we treated ourselves to fresh mangoes (because Thailand = mango heaven! 🥭) and decided to explore Pratunam Market for some street shopping. 🛍️

With a few new buys in hand and exhaustion finally catching up, we called it a day and headed back to our hotel rooms, ready to crash for the night. 😴

Stay tuned for Day 3 in Bangkok! ✨
