As promised, I'm back with PART 2 of my previous blog, "My First Take Off."
This spooky season, I would like to share about the most memorable yet scariest touchdown I've ever experienced.
It's time for a FLASHBACK guys.
It was the summer of 2007 when I went to Goa with my parents on their 25th Anniversary (read the planning and the execution part in the blog "My First Take Off" for some fun flashback). It was amazing; everything went according to plan till the last day of my trip.
Finally, it was the last day, and we were at the airport to catch our flight to Delhi. Everything from the check-ins to boarding went well. Finally, we were all seated on our respective seats in the plane. Mine was the window seat, and I was happy because I could look through the window for night views.
The plane finally took off, and the meal (dinner) got served. After a while, I felt dizzy and took a nap (POV: khana khane ke baad sabko neend ati hai yaar).
Then, the crew members and the pilot's inflight announcements startled me; it went like this, "we've entered Delhi, but due to bad weather conditions, there might be a delay in landing."
I stood up and started gazing outside the window to see those tiny houses and was stupidly searching for my own :P.
But it was raining, and everything looked dark and scary. The thunderstorms, the rain, and the lightning seemed out of control. I was scared to see those clouds and called them "giant monsters." I even exchanged seats with my mother and sat on the aisle seat.
Here comes another announcement: "we ask that you please fasten your seat belts and secure all baggage underneath your seat."
At that moment, I was more than just scared because the airplane started to fly into/above/around clouds. It was a moment of Oh My God! Because the plane was bouncing up and down and lurched around the clouds continuously for almost half an hour. I started crying; the inflight lights went off and on, and the baggage from the cabin began falling on our heads and the floor.
I was petrified and started crying loudly. Many passengers tried to console me, but I couldn't stop crying. Also, an uncle and aunt made me sit with them and treat me to chocolate. But I couldn't calm down.
After a while, everything was under control, and the pilot announced, "we are sorry for the inconvenience caused; now the situation is under control, and we are going to land soon" this was a calming one for all of us, Phewww!
Then, crew members served water, and we finally felt relieved.
Finally, we landed at Delhi Airport, and it was raining heavily. Also, I was sleepy due to the delay.
Here comes the end to my journey and the spooky experience I ever had.
I hope you never face such a bad experience ever in your life.
