Happy New Year!

But please make it clear,

You were supposed to be good,

I trusted you, thought I should.

You started with Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,

Exactly how 2020 paved its way.

It’s only the 10th day, here’s the gist-

A growing chaos fills the list.

Human Metapneumovirus on the rise,

Feels like 2020 in disguise.

Back then it was Covid’s game,

Now HMPV does the same.

Wildfires rage in LA’s skies,

Smoke and fear in people’s eyes.

We hoped this year would bring some peace,

But troubles seem to never cease.

Tibet shook with an earthquake’s roar,

Homes collapsed, lives shaken to the core.

In the midst of it, prayers were said,

For those who lost and those who fled.

Still, there’s hope beneath the dread,

A brighter path that lies ahead.

We made it through that stormy year,

And we’ll face this one without fear.

So, here’s to twenty-twenty-five,

Let’s hold on tight, and stay alive.

With strength and love, we’ll find our way,

Even if it’s just the tenth day.
